Heartsaver Instructor Course Description Information Heartsaver Instructor Course Upon completion of the Instructor Course criteria, instructor candidates will be able to teach American heart Association courses in the discipline selected using the video and lesson maps that are part of the appropriate course instructor materials. Instructor candidates will also be able to use the new testing materials to conduct skills testing programs. Instructors will be able to teach all of the Heartsaver programs. Instructors candidates must complete the classroom instructor course and a monitored teaching within 6 months of instructor class. Instructor certificates are valid for 2 years. Instructors must complete an online course before the first day of class.

Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED Description Information Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage a first aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the first few minutes until emergency medical services (EMS) arrives. Students learn skills such as how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock and other first aid emergencies. This course also teaches adult CPR and AED use.
