Description
Emergency Vehicle Operators Course
The Emergency Vehicle Driver Training course provides emergency vehicle operators with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate an emergency vehicle in emergency and non-emergency mode. The Pennsylvania Department of Health requires that all EMS operators take a DOH-approved course prior to operating an emergency vehicle. Topics covered include legal aspects of emergency vehicle operations, navigation and route mapping, driver roles and responsibilities, basic driving skills, and proper driving procedures. The first day of class is conducted in the classroom. The second day of class includes a hands-on practical in which participants will have to drive an emergency vehicle through a competency course. Participants will receive 16 hours of Pennsylvania continuing education credits upon successful completion of the the course. This course has been produced by VFIS.

Description
BLS (CPR) for the Community
The American Heart Association BLS Providers Course is a 4 hour class that covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. The course is designed for healthcare providers who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. You must attend to be eligible for provider status. Written and practical examinations are given.

PHTLS Combined Provider Hybrid
Description
PHTLS Combined Provider Hybrid
The PHTLS Combined Provider class is a 16-hour course for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians and other prehospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as PHTLS providers for 4 years, and 16 hours of CAPCE credit. This program is being offered as a hybrid course where students take 8 hours of the course online followed by 8 hours in the classroom.
