Emergency Vehicle Operators Course Description Information Emergency Vehicle Operators Course The Emergency Vehicle Driver Training course provides emergency vehicle operators with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate an emergency vehicle in emergency and non-emergency mode. The Pennsylvania Department of Health requires that all EMS operators take a DOH-approved course prior to operating an emergency vehicle. Topics covered include legal aspects of emergency vehicle operations, navigation and route mapping, driver roles and responsibilities, basic driving skills, and proper driving procedures. The first day of class is conducted in the classroom. The second day of class includes a hands-on practical in which participants will have to drive an emergency vehicle through a competency course. Participants will receive 16 hours of Pennsylvania continuing education credits upon successful completion of the the course. This course has been produced by VFIS. PALS 2-Day Provider Course Description Information PALS 2-Day Provider Course The PALS Program was developed jointly by AHA and the American Academy of Pediatrics. The PALS course provides education for medical personnel actively involved in pediatric emergency care. All courses are taught to the standards of the AHA Course. Pre-Requisites: Evidence of successful completion of a Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR course (AHA Professional, or ARC Professional Rescuer are acceptable). TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) Description Information TECC (Tactical Emergency Casualty Care) Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) course teaches EMS practitioners and other prehospital providers how to respond to and care for patients in a civilian tactical environment. The 16-hour classroom course includes all new patient simulations and covers the following topics: Hemorrhage control including immediate action drills for tourniquet application throughout the course; Complete coverage of the MARCH assessment; Surgical airway control and needle decompression; Strategies for treating wounded responders in threatening environments; Caring for pediatric patients; Techniques for dragging and carrying victims to safety; and A final, mass-casualty/active shooter event simulation.

ENPC gives nurses the tools to provide expert care for patients from birth to adolescence. ¦Pediatric ?Assessment Triangle ¦Early Intervention ¦Family Presence ENA developed the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course to establish a standardized body of pediatric emergency nursing knowledge and to improve the care of all pediatric patients. This fourth edition course combines interactive learning with scenario-based assessments to give nurses a comprehensive learning experience. The course includes a systematic approach to the Initial Assessment. The first few minutes of medical and trauma care for a young person are critical to achieve better patient outcomes. BLS (CPR) for the Community Description Information BLS (CPR) for the Community The American Heart Association BLS Providers Course is a 4 hour class that covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation.
