Description
BLS (CPR) for the Community
The American Heart Association BLS Providers Course is a 4 hour class that covers core material such as adult and pediatric CPR (including two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag mask), foreign-body airway obstruction, and automated external defibrillation. The course is designed for healthcare providers who must have a credential (card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course. You must attend to be eligible for provider status. Written and practical examinations are given.

PHTLS Combined Provider Hybrid
Description
PHTLS Combined Provider Hybrid
The PHTLS Combined Provider class is a 16-hour course for EMTs, paramedics, nurses, physician assistants, physicians and other prehospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognizing them as PHTLS providers for 4 years, and 16 hours of CAPCE credit. This program is being offered as a hybrid course where students take 8 hours of the course online followed by 8 hours in the classroom.

Description
PALS 2-Day Provider Course
The PALS Program was developed jointly by AHA and the American Academy of Pediatrics. The PALS course provides education for medical personnel actively involved in pediatric emergency care. All courses are taught to the standards of the AHA Course.
Pre-Requisites:
Evidence of successful completion of a Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR course (AHA Professional, or ARC Professional Rescuer are acceptable). This information must be forwarded to the GEM-EMI along with the registration form prior to enrollment.
