Description
PEARS Provider
Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization(PEARS)
PEARS teaches providers how to recognize respiratory distress, shock and cardiac arrest, and provide appropriate lifesaving interventions within the initial minutes of response until the child is transferred to an advanced life support provider. The goal of PEARS is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured infants and children, resulting in improved outcomes.

Description
ACLS Provider Class (Class with skills)
The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT) arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA and asystole), four types of pre-arrest emergencies (Bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke.

Safe Kids: Car Seat Class (Virtual Class)
Car Seat Class Many people are not using their car seats properly. Every year thousands of children die or suffer injuries due to the improper use of car seats and restraints. This 90-minute program will teach you the proper selection, use, installation and progression of car and booster seats for infants, toddlers and children not yet ready to use adult seat belts, or those under 4’ 9” tall. The program is based on best practice guidelines. Safe Kids Greater Augusta also provides car or booster seats to families who are on government assistance, and the mother must be at least 6 months pregnant or already have a child. Upon completion of the course, participants will be scheduled for an appointment to receive their car seat
