ACLS Provider Class (Class with skills) Description Information ACLS Provider Class (Class with skills) The ACLS Provider Course provides the knowledge and skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT) arrest. Providers are expected to learn to manage 10 core ACLS cases: a respiratory emergency, four types of cardiac arrest (simple VF/VT, complex VF/VT, PEA and asystole), four types of pre-arrest emergencies (Bradycardia, stable tachycardia, unstable tachycardia and acute coronary syndromes) and stroke.

Every year thousands of children die or suffer injuries due to the improper use of car seats and restraints. This 90-minute program will teach you the proper selection, use, installation and progression of car and booster seats for infants, toddlers and children not yet ready to use adult seat belts, or those under 4’ 9” tall. The program is based on best practice guidelines. Safe Kids Greater Augusta also provides car or booster seats to families who are on government assistance, and the mother must be at least 6 months pregnant or already have a child. PALS Provider (Class with skills) Description Information PALS Provider (Class with skills) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course that uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

BLS Skills Check Off Description Information BLS Skills Check Off After completing the cognitive portion of the course, students sign up to practice and test their skills with an AHA Instructor. Upon successful completion of the cognitive and skills test, students receive a course completion card.
